One Month and Counting

It’s been 30 days since I quit using methamphetamines and GHB as harmful coping mechanisms to deal with stress and self-esteem issues.

This is what happened so far:

1) I have a supportive employer and manager

2) I know who my true friends are, and I have plenty of those

3) My house is finally mine

4) I refinanced my home with enough cash out to pay down some of my debts. (4.5% to 2.25% baby!!)

5) My IRS bill went from $16K down to $12K down to $3100 down to just $900. Total. (Fuck you Joe, “Karma” a.k.a. “the IRS” is about to come knocking on your door now! Love, Kenn)

6) A great salesman gave me back my vacation share deposit without needing me to beg for it, and gave me an awesome free stay at the Marriott Newport Coast for willingly going back to him and signing up for the time share again.

7) Mum and I have a decent relationship again

8) Started meeting a bunch of new acquaintances on meetup and I’m pretty sure I’m about to add a couple of friends into my circle of friendship soon.

I plan on posting individual blog entries about each awesome person that has made my 2021 life an awesome one so far. Stay tuned for that.

So yes, it’s been 30 days, and I know I’m not going back to the way things were... can’t keep doing the same ol’ things over and over again and expect a different outcome. Time to change in a big way.

Yup, definitely not looking back...
